Is your heart breaking because someone you love is dying right now?
You just wish the pain would go away.
You know from talking to others, that this anguish is ‘normal’ and yet
- You try not to let it show.
- Your tears well up in unexpected places and times – like when you are in the grocery store and you hear a song that reminds you – all so unexpectedly.
- You can’t concentrate.
- You feel unsettled, confused and scared – all over, but especially in your heart.
Whether expected or sudden – death and dying matters to you.
How do you get through this?
I do get the anguish. I have been there too. Along the way I came to a startling realization: that the anguish in our hearts is about sensing/accepting that things cannot be the same anymore and not knowing what to do with the love you still have.
We know love does not stop, in the heart. I am saying this because if you are reading this I am guessing you already have experience in this kind of Love – Divine Love, love in relationships, love and concern for the Earth as well as love for one’s own self. In fact you likely have a soul and spiritual practice based in this kind of Love.
How do we stay connected now this person is no longer here?
This is a soul spiritual question. To be open to this kind of journey we need soul, spirit warmth, something that gives us courage of the heart. Burning beeswax candles is an exquisite way to create warmth for the soul.
